Gold

Gold is always the most classic and indispensable among the precious metals for wedding rings. Pure 24 karat gold is too soft to make a durable jewel. Therefore, it is mixed with different metals such as silver, nickel, copper. For example, 91.6% of 22 carat gold is pure gold, compared to 75.0% for 18 carat and 58.3% for 14 carat.

Metals whose color and hardness are changed by mixing with metals such as gold, silver, nickel and copper are called alloys. Different colors are obtained by mixing gold with different metals. Because of the color of gold, its value does not change. For example, an 18K gold ring, whether yellow, pink or white is 18-carat pure gold.

Different mixtures determine the color of gold.

Gold;

If mixed with copper, pink,

If mixed predominantly copper with silver yellow,

If mixed predominantly silver, with cooper green,

If mixed with metals such as silver, palladium, copper and manganese, white gold is obtained.

Platinum

It is a precious metal that is much rarer than gold. Platinum a natural white metal, is one of the most popular and prestigious metals in wedding ring choices. Platinum is a long-lasting metal with a natural whiteness that is strong and durable, never fading. However, due to its strength and rarity, it is more expensive and is about 30% denser than gold. It is the ideal choice for high quality stone products.

Palladium
Palladium is one of the rare precious metals. It has the lowest melting point and the least dense of the platinum group metals. This makes it a lighter metal compared to platinum or gold. Palladium, from the Platinum (PGM) family, has a bright and metallic hue and always stays white without fading.It is similar in durability to platinum, but much lighter.

Titanium

Titanium is a silver-gray metal that is extremely strong and known as the hardest metal in the world. It is also scratch resistant. However, it is a difficult metal to process and is not a traditional material used in wedding and engagement rings, as it cannot usually be resized or easily repaired. The design range is quite limited.

Silver

Even if it is mixed with other metals such as silver and copper, it can darken over time. It is quite soft. For this reason, it is alloyed with other metals to increase durability. 925 silver contains 92.5% pure silver. While it is an ideal option for a tight budget, it is a soft metal so it can become deformed or easily scratched.
